Rustic in style mixing or salad bowl: Made from 4kg of fine terracotta clay, carved and glazed with a zircon white glaze and decorated with cobalt blue oxide brush work. Fired to 1260 degree C.
I based the design of this on a traditional English bread mixing bowl known as a Pancheon. Traditionally Pancheon’s where made from terracotta, slip decorated and glazed with an earthenware glaze. Key design feature of a Pancheon is a flat bottom, straight tapering sides and a role top edge.
This bowl is very functional and lends it self well to life in a kitchen with big family.
