Made for ROOS: New Tableware for a New Cardiff Restaurant.

We've recently completed a substantial tableware commission for ROOS, a new Cardiff restaurant from Daron and Josh, following the success of their established restaurants in Pembrokeshire.

ROOS is built around Welsh heritage, coastal quality and modern hospitality. The restaurant takes its name from Alexander Roos, the Italian-born architect and urban planner who relocated to Wales and designed a number of Cardiff's Victorian terraces, as well as Sophia Gardens.

For the restaurant, we've produced a collection of pieces from our Vintage White range, including:

  • Large plates
  • Medium bowls
  • Small sauce jugs
  • Gravy jugs

Alongside these standard MJC forms, ROOS also commissioned a batch of bespoke green chip bowls, giving the collection something specific to the restaurant.

This is a good example of how we work with hospitality clients - combining proven pieces from our existing collections with selected bespoke elements where required.

Tableware made for hospitality.

We work with restaurants, cafés and chefs to create handmade stoneware for commercial service.

Projects can combine pieces from our existing collections with bespoke glazes, finishes and selected custom pieces.
