Hidden within the walls of The Vine Tree Crickhowell, FIR is a restaurant where every detail - from the ingredients to the ceramics - tells a story of place, season, and craft.

Led by Head Chef Matt Sampson, FIR offers a tasting menu that celebrates Welsh produce in its purest form. Ingredients are sourced from local farms, small producers, and foragers, each dish reflecting the landscape around Crickhowell.
When Matt approached us to create a bespoke range of ceramics for the restaurant, we shared a common goal: to make something simple, honest, and quietly beautiful.

Just as FIR’s menu changes with the seasons, the ceramics are designed to evolve. Earthy tones, soft textures, and forms that let the food speak. The result is a table setting that feels natural and tactile, connecting guests to the landscape that inspired the menu.
