Pasture x Matthew Jones Ceramics - Crafted for Fire

Pasture needs little introduction. Known for its open fire cooking, its celebration of great produce, and its electric dining rooms, the Pasture group has become one of the most recognisable restaurant brands in the UK.

Chef Owner Sam Elliott opened Pasture Bristol in 2018 with one clear vision:
Create memorable dining experiences built on quality produce, responsible practices, and strong relationships with local suppliers.

That vision has guided Pasture’s growth into a dynamic and forward-thinking group spanning Bristol, Cardiff, Birmingham, as well as Parallel Cardiff, Nightshade, and the recently opened Prime by Pasture in Bristol (2025).

A commitment to exceptional produce

Pasture’s in-house butchers handpick and prepare the very best native breed, suckled, pasture-raised beef from trusted southwest farms. The meat is dry aged for a minimum of 35 days and cooked over charcoal and wild cherry wood, bringing depth, smoke, and intensity to every plate.

Their own ButterCliffe Farm sits at the heart of their ethos. Run using organic, no-dig and permaculture-led methods, the farm provides each venue with lovingly grown fruit, vegetables, herbs, and flowers. In 2021, they planted 3,000 vines of Seyval Blanc and Pinot Noir, with the first bottles of low-impact estate wine arriving in 2026.

A collaboration built on shared values

Our partnership with Pasture began in 2021, and it has been going strong ever since. Sam’s emphasis on working with and supporting local makers has been a cornerstone of the brand, and something I’ve always admired.

Over the years, the ceramics we’ve produced for Pasture have evolved into a range of on-brand, bespoke pieces tailored specifically for their fire-driven dining environment — durable enough for a busy service, refined enough to frame their produce-led cooking.

From plates and bowls to sharing dishes and custom serveware, each piece is designed to enhance the Pasture experience, connecting the energy of their kitchens with the tactility of handmade ceramics.

A festive note

As we move into the festive season, Pasture make gifting easy - from Gift Experience vouchers to pre-ordering roasting joints and birds from Pasture Butchers, available for delivery or in-store collection.
