Raising the Gastronomic Bar - Our Partnership with AngloThai

Where Thai-British cooking meets hand-thrown craftsmanship.

John and Desiree Chantarasak are the co-founders of AngloThai, a restaurant that’s quickly become one of the most exciting culinary destinations in the UK. Watching their rise, including their first Michelin star, has been a true highlight of 2025.

Just minutes from Marble Arch, AngloThai spans two floors on Seymour Place. After a series of standout residencies, they opened their permanent home in November 2024, and earned a Michelin star within three months.

At its heart is a bold, creative kitchen led by John, blending British ingredients with Thai heritage. The dishes are refined yet rooted, driven by seasonal produce and ethical sourcing: from slow-grown vegetables to native-breed meats and line-caught seafood. The menu shifts constantly, sometimes even between services.

Our collaboration began with John’s connection to Wales, having grown up in Chepstow. Together, we created a bespoke collection of ceramics that draw from his Thai roots and are handmade in South Wales. The turquoise glaze on the Press Moulded Plate, for example, is inspired by traditional Thai celadon and reimagined through our local studio process.

These pieces are designed to enhance every dish - understated but essential to AngloThai’s immersive dining experience.

AngloThai is a deeply personal project for John and Desiree: warm, thoughtful, and always evolving. I’m proud to have contributed, one handmade plate at a time.
