This handmade ceramic vase is thrown on the pottery wheel in our South Wales studio, using a carefully balanced stoneware clay body and finished in an intense flowing copper oxide alkaline glaze.
Originally made as part of a bespoke restaurant order, this piece is one of a small number created during the process. An example of how we work in the studio, where each batch often produces a handful of unique, one-off items.
The glaze produces a soft, layered surface with tones of pale green and turquoise, breaking and running naturally across the form. The movement in the glaze gives each piece its own character, with subtle variations that reflect the firing process and the handmade nature of the work.
The form itself is simple and considered, a straight-sided silhouette that sits comfortably in both contemporary and rustic settings. It works equally well as a decorative object or as a functional vase for fresh or dried stems.

Due to the nature of our items being handmade and the clay and glaze being natural materials, the photos that are shown to display our products will look slightly different one you receive. Please be aware that we will not issue partial refunds due to the item not looking exactly the same as the images. This is the beauty of handmade, each piece is completely unique.
Returns
- You have 30 calendar days to return an item from the date you received it.
- To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it.
- Your item must be in the original Matthew Jones Ceramics packaging.
- Your item needs to have the receipt or proof of purchase.
Refunds
- Once we receive your item, we will inspect it and notify you that we have received your returned item. We will immediately notify you on the status of your refund after inspecting the item.
- If your return is approved, we will initiate a refund to your credit card (or original method of payment).
- You will receive the credit within a certain amount of days, depending on your card issuer's policies.
- Items on sale are nonrefundable.

- You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item.
- You will be responsible for organising the shipping needed to return the item.
- The return shipping address will be supplied to if you would like to return an item.
- If the item breaks during the shipping process no refund will be issued.
