Make Your Own Coffee Cup - Cardiff Coffee Festival

I’ll also be heading to Cardiff Coffee Festival this June, running a special pottery workshop at Insole Court.

This is a hands-on session where you’ll design and make your own specialty coffee cup - guided step-by-step in a relaxed, creative setting.

Over two hours, you’ll be introduced to both wheel throwing and hand-building techniques before decorating your piece to make it truly your own. Whether you’re completely new to clay or have some experience, the session is designed to be accessible, engaging, and enjoyable.

We’ll begin with a short demonstration on the wheel, alongside a discussion around what makes a great coffee cup - exploring form, function, and the small details that elevate your daily brew.

You’ll leave with a deeper understanding of the ceramic process - and your own handmade cup to use and enjoy.

Workshops are small and personal, giving everyone time at the wheel to learn the basics of making a pot. Whether you come along with friends, family, or as a gift experience, it’s always a great day in the studio.
